Layton's newborn portraits

Thought I would post a sneak peak for Angeline of her sweet little newborn! I just can't believe she stayed AWAKE the ENTIRE SESSION! I don't have one picture of her sleeping. But, her Mom & Dad said they don't have any picture of her awake. So, I guess it worked out. Here are a few of my favorites:

Accepting payment plans

We acknowledge that sometimes what you want in portraits exceeds your budget; therefore, we offer a recurring payment plan which can withdraw a fixed amount from your Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card on a regular basis. You will receive your portraits once your account is paid in full. An additional fee may apply for this service.

This projection system got a little more complicated than I thought it was going to be. Isn't that the way it goes though? After getting the projection system up and the room reorganized, I realized that I needed some sort of blinds or curtains. Plus, I needed to have the overhead light that use to be on at all times rewired so that I could turn it off. So, I purchased fabric and had the cleaners next door sew curtain rod pockets in them. Those went up last night. The electrician was out this morning and rewired the overhead light. So, I'm finally back up and running! Yeah!

These little guys were so much fun! There are so many good pictures to choose from that it's so hard to pick just a few to post on the blog! Their personalitities really showed in this session! Staci, I hope you enjoy this little sneak peak. I'll let you know as soon as I get your proofbook in!

Laura Rae's 1st Birthday Session(s):

I had a lot of fun with Laura Rae for her 1st Birthday. We actually did an indoor cake session and an outdoor family session. For the cake session, she would have eaten that entire cake if we would have let her! She just kept eating and kept eating...lol! The picture with half the cake gone...THAT'S HOW MUCH SHE ATE!!! There are so many good ones. But, figured I'd share a few and give Vivian a sneak peak while I wait on her proof book to come in! :)

New simplified Baby & Toddler Plans!

We have been trying to simplify our pricing all around. Now our Baby & Toddler plans have had this simplification as well.

We are really excited about this change!! Our new plans follow stages of development instead of by month for Babies. We are now offering 3 baby plans plus a toddler plan. These are posted under the Information section of our website under the Baby & Toddler Plans page with the prices for these plans posted there as well. Check it out!

It's official...I've been pooped on!

I debated even putting this on my blog, but it is kind of funny! I was attempting to get a butt shot of a newborn last week and the baby pooped all over the place!!!! After we all cleaned up from being pooped on, I realized that I captured the poop in the picture! Here's the shot....get a good laugh...

Fully Stocked Refrigerator

We are pleased to announce that we just added a small refrigerator stocked with bottled water and apple juice boxes. Also, we have added a basket filled with snacks like animal crackers, teddy grahams, etc. We hope that these little treats will make you feel more comfortable during your sessions!

New Projection System is up!

Well, the new projection system is up and running in our studio!!!! We'll have to take some pictures to post here and on our website. The waiting/preview area has been completely rearranged to accommodate this new way to preview proofs! Can't wait for you to experience it!

Showing your session images in YOUR ROOM!

I am extremely excited to announce that we have upgraded our ordering software to coinside with our new projection preview session system.

This new upgrade will allow us to drop your session images into the wall collections that we have featured in a 10x10 book at the studio.

Also, it will allow us to show you YOUR IMAGES on YOUR WALL! While we are working on the images from your creative session, simply e-mail us a digital photograph of the empty wall space you are considering placing your wall portraits! With a yardstick in the photo or a simple measurement of a piece of furnature pictured, we can show you what certain sizes would look like in that space with our projection system!

This is an extremely slick feature. I can't wait to use it to help you select the right size portraits for your home!

Projection Preview Sessions Coming Soon!

We are extremely excited to announce that we have ordered a projector and screen to conduct preview sessions with instead of the 22" monitor that we currently have! In addition to being able to view your portraits in a much larger format, this will also allow us to PROJECT THE ACTUAL SIZE of the image you are considering purchasing up to the screen size of 50"x60"!!!!

Announcing the arrival of EBONY!!!!!!

We purchased a new handpainted backdrop called Ebony and it arrived yesterday! We are very pleased to be adding this one to our collection! Here is a small thumnail to give you an idea of what it looks like:
I can't wait to get it hung up and start doing sessions with it! I'm sure you will see it on here soon!

New price list in effect.

After spending weeks deliberating the new price list, I have finally finished and implemented it. I think that everyone will like the flexibility that the new price list has in the collections! You can now mix and match any combination of your choice of 8x10's, 5x7's, and wallets (i.e. get all 8x10's, a combinations of 8x10's and 5x7's, or any combination of 8x10's, 5x7's, and wallets).

Also, watch for our new Inspire Guide for Portrait Displays in the studio! It is a 10x10 Leatherette cover book which features more than 40 wall portrait combinations! Let this book inspire your next wall collection for your home from your next portrait session!

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!

I have told some of my clients individually; however, I figured it would be good to make a formal announcement!

I have hired a full time assistant who will be moving here from out of state to work with me at the studio. We are currently planning for her to start around the 20th of June. Her name is Briane. She is an awesome young lady and excellent with children. I can't wait for you to meet her!

I just love being part of surprises!!!

These 3 wonderful kids' father decided to surprise their Mom for her birthday. Their Dad scheduled the session, went out and bought shirts for some of the kids, endured the session, and picked out a gallery wrap wall collection for his wife for her birthday. I just loved being part of this surprise! I know that most wifes want to clone this husband! :) A lot of the pictures turned out terrific. Here are a few of them:

Funky foyer perspective!

I was working on photographs for a Home Staging article in the next issue of the Rock Hill Magazine yesterday and took this photo. This is the 3rd issue that I'm working on and I don't normally post them, but I just had to share. I loved the perspective on it.

Watch for the newest edition of the Rock Hill Magazine which should be distributed to local businesses today and tomorrow. I photographed the Dalton Penthouse for that issue. We also have an ad in the magazine. So, pick one up!

Also, the newest edition of The Clipper Magazine should be arriving in homes now. Watch for our ad in there as well!

Poor little Loudon!

Loudon's 1st birthday session was scheduled for this morning; however, he is running a 104 degree fever! Poor little man! Hope you feel better!!

These things happen! Having 4 children of my own, I understand that kids get sick. We will happily reschedule a session if your child falls ill the day of the session!
